Thanks man! I'm thinking about repainting it with a different color scheme. Not sure what yet. Painting these covers sure are fun!

Both of your bays are looking good. I say painting the shroud is a must.

Here's my contribution. Couple different shots with some different caps; kept the Top Secret and painted Nismo cap. Also switched over to the customized VMS cover and ARC rad cap.

Looks great. I like the hoses...nice touch but blends in very well.

I give it a 8.6 out of 10. Which is a fabulous rating.

Haha, that would be Lowes. Seriously. M6 stainless steel acorn nuts.

The titanium washers underneath... those were leftover from various orders from DressUpBolts.com.

Thanks John. I spent an embarrassing amount of time searching the web for two nuts.

I'm about to go with a bunch of bolts/washers from Pro-Bolt unless someone recommends against doing that. Will post up pics once I do

On Rochester's suggestion I checked out Pro-Bolt. I used to think I had a high threshold for expense. I met my match with Pro-Bolt. Particularly since I only needed two. With shipping added in it didn't make sense for me.

Since your ordering a number of them, your per-item cost is probably more reasonable.

Update...

With some embarrassment and much to my chagrin I have gone with Pro-Bolts.

I want red anodized acorn nuts. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so.

The company I originally ordered from called and cancelled saying they don't expect to get them in. My backup company indicated that it would take until mid-November to get them. Both places, mind you, showed 'in stock' on the part.

So now out of frustration, I have swallowed the expense. And you know what? I'm happy about it.

Haha, I feel like I have to draw the line somewhere otherwise I'll be endlessly touching up things in the engine bay. For me, that is probably the bolts.

I agree Pieman,

I've been keeping mods and upgrades to about $50. So like with the dress-up bolts, I just make several $49.99 orders to stay under my threshold.

So far it's working.

Jezus! Have I mentioned how much I hate you guys? Okay, not really. You all are great. But, my wallet hurts. AND, NOW ALL OF THIS! Engine dress up added to the list of 'Reasons I've Spent Too Much on My Vert'. Lord these setups look good. Not even going to try and top them. Just joining the ranks of you who've cleaned up under the bonnet a bit.

Sticking with the theme. I'll try bronze and high gloss black. Braided sleeves and new caps may be a next endeavor.

Quick question : Under hood, my Infiniti logo on the engine cover is missing. The old lady I bought the car from (one owner) surely wasn't messing about in there. Not sure what happened? Any idea where I can get another while avoiding (if possible) the dealer's hyper inflated pricing?

A lot of users have had them randomly fall off. Mine was stuck on there pretty good even though my G is an 07. Try the local junkyard, any 2007+ Infiniti should have one on the engine cover.
