If you measure the long bolts acting as pins for each end of the FSTB into the brackets, you can probably find something other than what came with the kit. I had my brackets dipped and powedercoated black, with titanium tapered socket-caps and titanium nylock nuts. Since there's only the two of them, I bet you could find something interesting...

Also, what's that zip-tie on the wiring harness at the driver's side strut tower?
Speaking of wiring... consider some simple black wire loom over the MAF Sensor wiring, like this (below). Dress the sensor end with some black electrical tape, and it will look pretty good.

I saw in your build thread (I think that's where I saw it) where you talked about the loom on the MAF wiring. I like that also and plan to add it soon.
I do like how the GT-Spec is positioned above the engine cover. I'm not sure why Cusco didn't do a little better in that regard. I do like the Cusco bar a lot though.

I did a few more things to my engine bay:
*Removed the factory stickers from the radiator shroud
*Added wire loom to the intake tube sensor wires
*Removed the red grounding wire kit and installed a dark blue kit
Today I dropped off my Cusco strut bar to have it powder coated. I was really trying to find someone that could plate it with black chrome, but no one around me does it. I had to go with powder coating, so I'm hoping it will turn out nice. The shop has a black chrome powder coat, but it looked a little dull and a little too grey. They said they could coat the black chrome with a clear chrome, which is supposed to add a lot of shine and darken the grey at the same time. We'll see. I'm pretty excited about it! Supposed to be ready in a couple of weeks.
Once I get the bar back from being powder coated, I'll install it and shoot some more pics.

I got my Cusco bar back from being powder coated black chrome. It turned out great! The blue grounding kit blends in more, but still complements the blue strut bar braces. I still have some more dress-up bolts to get, but I'm very happy with how it's turned out so far!

I know there are lots of similarities between our bays, but man that looks absolutely fantastic. It's gorgeous. The finish on the bar almost looks like titanium in those pics. Black Chrome is a wonderful choice for powdercoating.
What are you doing to get that kind of deep, black sheen on the plastics? Or is that just good photography and excellent lighting? You know what works really, really well? Tire gel.
Such a b1tch to clean into the corners of the OEM airbox, eh? A rag wrapped around a flat-edge works well, give it a try.

When I realized I couldn't get a real black chrome plating here in Austin, I was worried that I wasn't going to like the black chrome powder coating. That's the whole reason I bought another bar and didn't just do it to my original bar. I'm so glad I did it because it turned out f'ing awesome! I love it!
I actually use Meguiar's tire gel on the plastics. I had some sitting on a shelf and decided to see how well it worked in the bay and it's awesome. It lasts a long time too.
Yeah, I noticed that it's getting a little "dusty" in the corners and crevices. A simple wipe down isn't enough at the moment. Time to get the tooth brushes out and get to the details in the bay. I usually do that twice a year and it's apparently time.
