Apologies for the poor quality picture. I shall take a better picture when I have more light, maybe when it stops being rainy.
That engine cover looks great! Carbon Fiber always looks so much better in person too.

That's true, the pictures never do it justice. Now I just need an Infiniti logo to stick on there, maybe

I like that you painted your dipstick loop to match the blue accents throughout. Nice detail.

I would turn those intake couplers around so you don't see the Stillen logo, since it's already in two stickers on the mid pipes. Better yet, remove those stickers.

Nice bay, GFN.

I'd like to be able to say "oh, yeah, that was my plan all along." In reality, it was more like *standing there with the krylon* "WHAT ELSE CAN I PAINT"

Yeah, I'll probably flip those couplers around. I debated getting some blue couplers to match the rest of the detailing. It might be too much. That white coolant overflow tank is just an eyesore. I wonder if I could wrap the top of it in CF vinyl....Brad? Brad? Bueller?

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT. I've been looking for a polished coolant overflow tank for a while.

Last month, I also bought the ZeeToyz Washer Fluid Cap, in black, without the logo. (There's a post and pic just a few back here.) It's OK... something almost odd about how perfectly smooth it is. And the fitment is a little awkward. But it's just a cap, right?

So I had the OEM cap sitting on my desk these last few weeks. One day I decided to take a razor blade to it and slice off the embossed washer fluid symbols. Then I sanded it all down flat.

Bought some Krylon Satin Black Plastic spray paint and painted it a few times. Then I roughed up the oval section in the center for some contrast. It looks pretty good, actually. In some ways, it looks even better than the ZeeToyz cap.

Granted, macro shots show off every minuscule flaw that you wouldn't see otherwise, but if you're back more than a few inches, it looks darn near perfect. Haven't decided if I want to use it, but it was an interesting little experiment nonetheless.

Thought I'd post that up here as an idea for anyone who wants to color-match (ish) their caps. The Krylon Plastic Paint comes in a variety of colors, and seems to work quite well. Very flexible stuff.

Better even than the washer fluid cap, check out the power steering cap. This I'm using. Came out pretty good, I think. Looks exactly OEM, but without all the Japanese and English lettering.

You can't see the brake fluid cap in that picture, because it's underneath the plastic panel labeled "Brake Fluid".

Was reading through this thread as some are using just basic exterior paint? I talked to a body shop who said $200 for the engine cover, battery and brake cover. Then he could say how long it would last? Guess I should just try it myself. Really wanted to match the blue of my Mishimoto intake tubes.

Awesome stuff! Is it difficult to do it yourself? what are the options for paint?
