The R2C Intake kit sure does make for an attractive add to the engine bay. Particularly in Black Nickel finish, and the white filter elements on a Moonlight White car.

I did this this to my last car using plastic/FRP primer and body paint but the paint eventually cracked due to the heat. Any issues with your paint job? I now have a blue slate and want to do this again but don't want it to crack so am wondering what kind of paint you used?

The CF theme only flow with certain color cars. For some reason I can't get into it with my Blue Slate G. As shown in previous post it worked well on my Wet Black Z.

What's this crew here do about hose clamps? On my last car, I was fond of stainless-steel T-Bolts over the typical worm clamp. And now I'm looking to replace the rubber couplers that came with my new R2C intake with something else, along with the clamps.

These Stealth Clamps have some appeal, although still worm clamps, at least they'd be... well, stealth.

And then on the opposite side of that coin are these ProLock clamps out of GB, with something that could be a little over the top, but undeniably pretty:

Something like this has appeal to me, as well. Simple black coupling, with flat-black T-Bolts:

I like those black t-bolts. Where did you find them?

Google.

This "radium" company sells them as part of an expensive coupler/t-bolt kit for the intercooler on a particular model Lotus.

BTW, Robert... looking at that link, those couplers are 2.5" ID. Isn't the ID on our throttle body couplers 2.75"? Doesn't that mean we need 3" couplers?

Are you able to confirm or correct that, buddy?

FYI... I took things apart today, because I want to tweak the fitment. While there I took some measurements.

The coupling R2C provides is 2" in length, with a 70mm inner diameter, and a 3" outer diameter... which means 3" clamps.
