Complaint about seats
#76
I have an early FX. This was a common problem, Black seemed to be worse.
The dealer replaced mine, (had to get approval b/c over 1K$ just for the seat bottom -give me a break)
For some, they repadded the seat cushion. Others, they sent it out to be redone and came back worse. Some had the whole seat replaced a few times. Seems like problem is still going on after 6 years.

Well I went to Cerritos, and it seems like they will take care of it.
Spoke with April, and she had the parts manager, Phil take a look.
He admitted that they shouldn't look like that, at least the side bolsters.
I showed him the bubble, at first he thought that was normal, but I explained to him that shouldn't happen. He then looked a little closer and asked April about it and she explained that she had replaced the seat for someone twice for that issue, so I assume that was you UCLA. I wasn't there when he asked her, but thats what he told me she said.
I didn't say that I think I know who that was or anything, but I just assumed they where talking about you.
So anyway he took some close up pics ( not sure if the pics really show the issue clearly)
but he said he would make a report, and they should let me know by Tues.
He also had me drive up next to a new G37S to compare, don't know why because the new G won't have any wear on it.
Thanks for the recommendation UCLA,
hopefully they will take care of it for me.
They seemed nice and honest so we will see.

Yes, Phil is the new service manager and he is very nice. He helped me out with something in the past during Halloween, when he was dressed up in full racing overall as his costume. I didn't even know who he was back then. April should take care of it for you, I was the guy that she replaced the seats twice for, haha.
She knows me if you want to mention my name (Danny). Good luck.

lol yeah I figured
if they take care of it for me then I would definitly just take a drive over there and get my oil changes from them.
And anything else I would need. Just to bad the dealerships closer to L.A. aren't like them.
It's about 28 miles from me but whatever, it's not to bad.
How long did it take them to replace it. Did they do two of the seats or just one.
Phil mentioned that it might take a day and that I would have to leave it there.
Which isn't too bad, but I would prefer to get it done the same day, and just chill there and wait till they get it done.

lol
true, yeah Phil said they would give me a loaner
I don't want one though, the last time I got a loaner G35 sedan and got a ticket on PCH with it
If they do have to keep it overnight then I'll take a loaner car
