Kill switch for the plate light?
Alright I was think about hooking a switch up to my plate lights bc I have UV bulb in those spots. I want to be able to flip a switch as I go by a cop to kill the light so they can't see it. I know some of you are real good with electrical work so I was hopeing someone could point me in the right direction to find this wire close to the drivers seat. I know I could need to buy a basic switch and wire it to that wire and I was going to install the switch in the dead spots where the seat heater switches would go.

Besides being illegal, you would only end up causing a pull-over for the light being out. Then they could nail you for any other prohibited item on a heavily modded car.

Yes, I may occasionally speed if it’s within the flow of traffic. My goal is always to avoid tickets by not putting a spotlight on myself. And as the resident nerd around here, I would never put an illegal mod on my car.

Driving a G37 coupe doesn’t necessarily mean you will get tickets. You can enjoy any performance car and never get pulled over if you follow a few simple rules:
• Don’t weave in and out lanes
• Never cruise in the fast lane on freeways
• Never speed just because you don’t see a cop
• The rearview mirror is your best friend
• Don’t tailgate
• Stay away from illegal mods, including no front plate where required
• Assume every pair of headlights coming up behind you at night is a cop
• Don’t weave in and out lanes
• Never cruise in the fast lane on freeways
• Never speed just because you don’t see a cop
• The rearview mirror is your best friend
• Don’t tailgate
• Stay away from illegal mods, including no front plate where required
• Assume every pair of headlights coming up behind you at night is a cop

Oh yes, in the trunk, where it belongs

My G37 was delivered with the bracket installed, but I believe you can request from some dealers that it not be put on. Now I agree that the car looks better without one, but like I’m trying to convey, subjecting yourself to a possible pull over is not wise.

I personally wouldn't want to kill the lights off the license plate area..that seems very suspicious. Maybe if they were dim, or had some kind of reflective coating.. that would be much less inconspicuous.
