Did it myself, it held up fine. You might get some typical chips here and there but that is inevitable. I have it professionally done now. Definitely recommend professionally sprayed, the quality is night and day difference.

I did. I've had it a few months. Even with several coats of clear coat on top it got chipped and isn't quite as glossy as I'd like it to be. It looks good but got a chip the second day.

Yeah I would recommend finding someone who owuld do it professionally for you. They would probably do it for about $100 (i'm guesing).

I scratched up my spoiler back when I had an MX-6. IThe shop repainted it for $150.00. So I'm guessing for something this smal it would be a similar cost.

I'm sure there has to be some more cost in labor, just because I believe you have to remove the bumper to take out the grill, my Audi was a matter of popping the hood and carefully pushing in the tabs, 2 minutes and it was out for paint.

^^^ You don't have to remove the bumper to take off grille. Taking off the grile takes 5 minutes.

Anyways, if you want a matte finish, do it yourself, if you want a glossy finish, get it professionally done.

I had mine professionally done 8 months ago, and still no rock chips. Preparation is key!

i did dupicolor, and mines holding up great. i got one chip from a rock but that would happen no mater who painted it. If you want really glossy, try using the engine high heat paint, , Grill is easy and quick to remove, take a stab at it and see how it comes out, you can always paint it again. I have a DIY on here so use that to help you

I'd always choose quality over cost, that way I know it'll turn out right.

+1.. its one reason I chose the G over the Civic The extra $$ are a win-win situation when spent on the G IMO
