Seat move when exiting?

Are the 08 Coupe seats suppose to move back and steering wheel tilt up when exiting the car? According to the manual I can program this feature via the memory seating buttons but I do not have this option on the settings function on the screen. The buttons respond per the manual but this does not enable the seats to move as described.

Thoughts?

Nope not in the coupe. I guess it's a safety feature in case someone is siting in the back seat behind you. But I use the memory 1 and 2 for extix and drivign settings

It's only when I am getting in or out of the car and how often do you really do that. I get in press the 1 button for my driving setting and press the push start button to start the car.

When I'm at my destination I turn the car off, press 2 pull the door handle and exit. Not that big of a deal really.

Setting 2 also belongs to the wife, Setting one is all mine and being 6'5" the seat is already set to go all the way back.

My Cadillac has the "exit" feature, I turn it off, but it always finds some way to turn back on. Its really a big pita, it takes too long to slide back, and it has to go back to the driving position when you put the key back in. It moves too slow for me, I usually jump out when I turn the car off and curse as the seat starts to slide.

Yea, its getting to that point. It will go two weeks without doing the auto exit, then out of no where I will have the seat slide back when I take the key out of the ignition. I guess older people like it, it does give you more room to exit, but its wayyyyy too slow for me. I like to get in the car and drive, not wait for the seat to move back into position.

I'm fairly certain when my wife first got her car, it was there. She brought the car in for issues with the Viper alarm module (installed at the dealer) and I SWEAR they did an update on the software that deleted this and at least one or two other functions in the settings menu. She only had the car for 3-4 weeks at the time and I really hadn't had much time to play around with it so I can't be 100% certain but I'm almost positive it was originally there
