09 BO Self-Healing paint?

Anyone with a BO experience the 09 self healing paint? Can you still see swirl marks and fine scratches?

I've had my '09 BO G37x coupe for the past 10 days and I see swirl marks, but the dealer said that when the weather gets warmer (i live in toronto), it should get rid of it automatically. That requires a little too much patience on my part

The clear coat is heat activated. On a warm day, a black car should have noticeable results within 15 minutes.

I want to see before pics of someone scratching up their clear coat and an after picture after leaving it in the sun... post away. BTW mike. Do you know how much infiniti charges to add the self healing clear coat if someone already bought their car months ago... or is it possible to add on to an 08? I'm thinking the whole car will need to be repainted?

It wouldn't be worth your money to add the ScratchGuard paint, you're better off just keeping what you have. Yes, it's nice, but it's not going to protect you from other highly probable threats (i.e. chips or anything that breaks the clear coat).

i don't think it's possible to add it after without costing an arm and a leg...they'll have to sand down the factory clear coat and reapply a new clear (self healing) to the vehicle...so far in BC (as i'm aware), no autobody has this self healing clear coat available...

It's the price of a new paint job, essentially.

That would be expensive and it would lower the value of your car as it would be noticeable by appraisers that your car was repainted. Many buyers would also assume it was in an accident.
