Sorry Shumby, go cozy up to one of those big hairy men on the oil rigs, at least you'll stay warm.

Has anybody actually tested out the vehicle impact sensor? Was just wondering, because how would you go about making sure the sensors even work without actually breaking a window?

Is the VAIS even an option in canada? The website/manual mentions nothing about it.

So wait, without this sensor, someone could smash my window and my regular car alarm won't go off? That seems like a pretty crappy alarm that we got as a standard.....

I know this is a STRONG bump but check this out.
Vehicle Alarm Impact Sensor 2009 G37 Sedan 2009 G37 Coupe

Would it be possible to add the sensor to cars that didn't have them dealer installed.
This would be half the price of having the stealer do it.

absolutely....the dealership who installed mine didn't even install it themselves...they got some subcontractor to come in and install it...

if it comes with instructions, almost any installer can install it..u could probably even install it and make a DIY thread

Yes. Very possible. From what I understand it is pretty much plug and play, but note only the 09s and above are setup for this.

I just went with an aftermarket 2-way Viper alarm and added the tilt sensor with it....first crank of the jack, that bad boys going off, and my pocket will be chiming.

I thought about doing that but didn't like the idea of having to carry around 2 remotes.
