This is the first I've seen of this thread. Great job, don't get discouraged by anyones negative comments. The first time I seen the front of the car up close, I knew I was going to be modding those corners. I figured some tye of ducting into the intake. Later I found out there are two intakes on each side and now I can't wait to get started. I've been looking for some spare grill sets to play with but these cars are still too new to have a bunch of junk parts out there. I just missed out on a set of used headlights off of eBay last night (I was out bid). No idea what I was going to do with them, but the potential was there.

I don't even have a car to play with yet (it's hers and she's in Texas).

There are a few cars out there with brake ducting but the honest to god fact is cooling of the brakes is not needed unless you're doing laps around a track.

Keep up the good work. I'll be watching for updates.

I am still waiting on the lights before i can rivet any of this crap together. My break point will be the rear panel that will be attached with the infamous black clips so i can remove them and they wont need to be screwed in and rattle loose.

I have the mesh, and i need to make an L bracket to rivet to the side and then rivet from the front. This is always harder to explain, but here is a picture to help with the look of the mesh....

Where my finger is, is where the L bracket will be with the rivet in the front. This will all be painted flat black. The light will be in the center of the mesh...

Ok guys, I got the lights today. I now have everything riveted to the brake vent frame (the black thing) and now I am going to work on the back piece that will be attached via clips (when I buy them). That piece will have the two cut-outs for the brake and intake vents.

The mesh works well I think, keep in mind this will all be painted flat black. My orginal thought of mounting the fog lights from the back plate was thrown away because its just as easy to mount to the top of the vent area and still have room to change the bulb if it ever goes out. Plus the whole "floating foglight" wouldnt be as stable and plus you cant even tell where the mount is when it's on the car...

I will finish this up over christmas when I have more time, keep in mind I have the other brake vent to do from scratch! This one side has taken me about 12 or so hours dedicated to bending and planning and riveting...good times!

As always, your thoughts?:

I knew someone would mention the angle eyes. The good thing is I can choose not to hook them up and dissasemble them from the projector housing, but then I need to grind away the rivets and resize the mesh. I'm going to keep them for now.

hooked the fog light up to the existing wire taps that i made, the angel eyes are off in this pic and obviously the vent is off the car. This is to show the bulb etc.

That's very understandable. I'm guessing Audi owners are going to have the same pet peeve soon too
