well in visibility, it doesn't really seem like it changed... but as for seeing them outside my car... the lights don't look yellowish from close like they used to

I hate the purple pink HID, looks like ghetto mobiles when the swap out Halogens for the "HID Look," and it's basically the same bulb with purple tint on it. GHETTO. 6000k are ok, but I still haven't justified buying them to get a cooler color and less light output. But it's not like the G is ever offroad and needs to have the extra advantage of 4300.

That is exactly what I'm trying to figure out.

well this is what I just did, I bought Philips 5000K (85122CM) bulbs. These are extremely rare bulbs and the color they give out is a beautiful white. Its a great mix of looks without sacraficing visibility/output. I had these on my G35 coupe and LOVED them..heres the thread I made when I got them for my G35..cant wait to put these bulbs on my new G37

http://g35driver.com/forums/lighting...k-85122cm.html

oh and the set I have on order was purchased from here, pretty decent price for a set and i've always done business with this guy when it came to HID stuff, he's solid..scroll to the bottom of the page where he has Philips 5000K with the part# 85122CM..that is really important because you dont want some generic Philips LIKE 5000K..it HAS to be Philips with that part# give above..

What wattage is it that produces more of a blue shade, its that going up the kelvin scale or down? I saw a 5 series a while back and his lights look pretty menacing, they were a bit more blue than the factory HID's

PM "g37 6mt" for his 6000K D2S pics, those are better match to what they look like in person I think.

Or, save yourself a step and just get them from Lou since you're in so cal, I've seen the 6000K from Amp and they are pure white, not green.
G37 6MT also has HPA D2S too but they are white... thats strange... maybe because of camera?

4300k is the BEST light output you can get which is why a lot of companies use it as oem. that aside, a lot of peole go with 5000k or 6000k for less yellow without affecting light output too much since they're still hid's. personally, i like 6000k the best - white with a blue tint. heres a nice comparison chart of colors...
