That isn't being picky at all. The skin of the dash is peeling off! In no way can that be "by design". The car has a warranty, if they refuse to fix a warranty issue then get a lawyer.

Yeah, this is happening to me too. In fact, it's so bad that it squeaks when I drive.

I don't think it's AZ heat. It's just another example of a slight overlooking on quality by Infiniti R&D. *sigh* I live in Michigan and my left side is jutting out slightly - right side is OK. I am leaving this one alone since it's not bothering me much and not nearly bad as the OP's. But if it gets worse like the OP's within the next year, I'll take her in. Also I am TIRED of visiting Infiniti. I have already had them fix under warranty:

1. Rear Axle Click
2. Muffler buzz/rattle
3. Left Window Regulator
4. Faulty Stock Y-Pipe insulation
5. VVEL Knock/Ester Oil
6. Stretched leather bubble (just got this fixed yesterday evening.

I know these aren't major issues affecting drivability but frankly that's more warranty visits than my Dad has made on his 2000 Lexus - to DATE. OP - you should fight to get a fix/replacement.

Garaged and i work nights... doesn't see much sun.

I'm pretty pissed off about this car and the way they deal with issues. Every issue i have with the vehicle it seems like either im being too picky or im asking too much. They sure didn't act like that when they wanted $40k. Ill keep you guys posted in regards how i go after them.

I just want to crash the car through the dealerships front doors, explain that to your customers

Mine was like that when I bought the car. I didn't notice until a few days after I bought it however. Little things like this add up and you wonder why you pay so much for what is supposedly a "luxury" auto. I went to get TSB done on my radio not scrolling through the presets and they didn't have the part to fix it. It's been about 2 months since they said they would contact me.

I like the car though, however this car will be my first and LAST infiniti. Customer service is subpar.

How long have you had the car? Does it get worse or about the same?
