Window tint - what kind did you get?
I've been somewhat slow to get it done, but I'm finally pulling the trigger this Friday.... local guy quoted me 5 windows @ $220 for Llumar ATR - $320 for Llumar ATX - and $520 for Huper Optik Ceramic. All installed.
Anyone have any experience with this Huper Optik? Not sure I want to spend the extra $2-300 regardless - but i'll see what it looks like at the shop.... but are the prices above decent? Responses (and any other insight) would be appreciated.

Paid $260 for Pinnacle Formula One ceramic tint @ 35% all around. TSR rating was pretty good (very comparable to Huper Optik) and has a better dark grayish tint versus Huper's greenish hue. Blackjack has the same tint too (might have gotten the darker color though based on his avatar, not 100% sure). I'm sure he'll chime in any minute now.

I've got 35% Wincos on all windows except the windshield for like $200. I live in FL but go to school in NC, so I wanted something that would keep the FL heat out but still be legal in NC, hence Wincos because it's not too too dark at all but is amazing at keeping the heat out. It shoulda been more, but the guy is a friend and I was having two cars done on the same day and I refer a lot of people to him so he hooked me up.

Tint, like most other things, follows the "you get what you pay for" theory.
We think our G37's are such a smart buy for the price. Most 335i owners think we are stupid and cheap, and most Hyundai Coupe owners think we are stupid and waste money for the status.
You can always find someone who paid less for "crap". Buy the tint you want/need from a reputable shop and you will be better off in the long run.

$270 for Pinnacle Formula One Ceramic 35 all around. Have used it on other cars and used same installer and never had a problem with them so did not shop price. Color matches real well with black. Couldn't go darker as I have already been stopped twice for dark tint. 50/35 front/back is all that is legal here so see how long I make it with 35 all around.
