I wanted to get some of that hybrid tint (sputtered with metal), but the tint shop said something about it interfering with navigation and Satelite radio. Should I completely avoid metalized tint, or has this not been a problem on G37s?

 

Metalized tint will not affect your Nav, Satellite Radio, nor FM radio due to the locations of the antennas for these devices. You may notice some degradation in your AM radio signals as the AM radio antenna is embedded in the rear window.

Your tint guy must not know Gs (not that he should... but just sayin).

 

I personally would avoid metalized tint. But thats just me.

I went with carbon tint in my car

 

if you have a radar detector it will mess with that but not anything you posted because of the locatin of the antenna
