What style to black out headlights?

I would of put up a poll but have no clue how to do so. Probably going to black out my headlights next weekend (the 19th). Want to get a few opinions from you guys. Tell me what you think would look best with an IP with tints.

1)Matte black headlights
2)Semi gloss black headlights
3)Glossy black headlights
4)Black "chrome" style (shop said they could just tint the chrome part and have it be black but it would shine cause of the chrome base...not sure if this is different from glossy..)

Just give me some ideas/opinions.
Here's a pic of the car for reference. I have BATs on it right now but not too happy with the fitment, it's not as exact as I'd like...

yours looks hot man, dont get me wrong. I just dont know if I'd get tired of it later on and have to redo stuff. I've blacked out lights before and never got tired of the look so i'm gonna go with something tried and true. but props to you for def trying something new and fresh, they look great!

I'm considering getting mine actually black chromed (painted) since we have a shop here that does that, but I'm holding off until I find someone that can guarantee that they can seal the headlights so that there's not gonna be any condensation.

depends on how dark they make it, some cars jus turn me off when the head lights are just completly blacked out and there is no definition! I am looking into getting my OB done but I want it smoked/sorta black but enough that I can still tell there is a headlight there :P I think ur IP with the BATS looks awesome but if ur not happy with the fitment do watcha gota do! best of luck guy!

it looks awesome from far away. Up close..not so much.
rest of my pics can be found here:

granted, it could of just been the installer but its not only a PITA to install, its a PITA to find someone to do it also!

the alignment is off and i see it on a lot of ppls overlays. the circles that are cut out dont exactly fit over the headlight (it covers slight portions) and it irritates me. As with many of you on this site, we're all perfectionists when it comes to our cars and I thought at first i'd be fine but yeah..got annoying. I get what you're saying about having no definition, i'll have to ask my shop about that.

So far I have a vote for black chrome and one for matte. anyone else want to chime in?

I just called a custom shop, they want $150 for the front and another $150 for the rear.

He said he can do whatever I want and it is 100% custom, cut to fit.....

What are other guys paying that are not using BAT's stuff? That seems high to me

Can these overlays, like the ones BAT sells, be installed at home using a blow dryer, water sprayer, etc., or is the recommendation to absolutely have a shop do it?
