whenever i turn my car off and open the door to get out the window goes all the way down and i can't close it unless the cars on , so it's just sitting in my garage with the window down... any suggestions?

 

What in the hell? Try turning the car off while your door is open (with the windows closed, of course). See if it does it when you haven't actually started the engine but had electronics running, as in when you push the on button without your foot on the clutch. I don't really know why either of those would work, but your best bet is to try a few harmless experiments to either figure out a way to make it work without having to get it fixed or maybe get a better idea of what is really wrong. Is it just the driver side window or both? If, when you unlock the doors, you hold down the unlock button, it opens the windows; some of your cars confusion might be involved with the circuitry involved in that process, but it would be less likely that that is the case if it is only the driver side window. You should probably just get it checked out--your electronics are screwed up.

 

This issue and the fix associated with it is posted here on the site. A search will solve your problem.

 

Good suggestion. And if that doesn't work, I'd recommend buying an Apple because that OS is way more stable than Windows will ever be.

 

If you can't find it in the search. Look in the manual, it will tell you how to fix the window. Happened to me also. Fixable problem.

 

turn the carn on, let the window roll down, then hold the button to roll the window up for 5 seconds or so

Yes, and the Egyptian pyramids are more stable than my house, but I think my house is a nicer place to live, and those pyramids are so damn expensive.

 

lol i woke up and my mom comes in the room saying she fixed my window... i was like wtf?!

 

Just had the exact same problem, will save u a trip to the dealer.

As soon as u open the door the window goes down.

Just need to reset your windows.

I think It is page 38 in owners manual, hold the sunroof button for like 15 seconds & it will reset.

(it is a saftey to keep the window regulator from blowing out)

Double check owners manual (not sure of page number)
