That patch of leather should have been divided into quadrants, or split in half the other way. The way it is now, it gets a lot of stress right in the middle from our *** and something has to give.

If you usually sit with your legs extended, more of your body weight will be distributed across the seat cushion. If you sit with your legs up, closer to the seat, your *** bones will dig into the cushions more and shape them.

Seat heaters tend to accelerate leather stretching in this area.

I don't see this issue going away unless they change the design of the leather and harden the cushion.

I don't think it's just the seat heater cause I rarely use them and my seat is bubbled bad. I gotta take mine in when I get back from vacation. If I get hassled for being beyond the 12/12 warranty and wear and tear like FM37 said, they're in for a fight.

+1 on cruzmisl's comment on not fixing the design. Replacing it doesn't really fix the problem. Same thing on my brakes, they said I didn't fall in the tsb for warped rotors, but they did turn the rotors. 3k miles later and its back. Big surprise.

Infiniti, please actually fix the problem.

Good Luck! What's BULL**** is that they replace them with the same ****ty covers. I even asked if they could use the 2010s, but nope back on with the 2008s. So basically in 6months its going to look exactly the same as it does now...so gay

I might try not sitting in the seat. Just stand on the left foot and hold onto the wheel for support.
Only way I can think of avoiding this problem coming back.

Just got mine replaced (leather and cushion) under warranty, but...

Looks like they did a terrible job of putting on the new cover. Dealer is trying to say it looks normal to them. I disagree.

I don't think it's that bad. Better than the butt craters.

It's better than the craters were, but it doesn't look too good when comparing to the passenger seat.

I was supposed to sit down with my legs outside the car and pivot my body in with my a$$ planted to the seat!!!!? He recommended calling the Infiniti customer service and argue with them. He said he would gladly replace the seat cause the dealership makes money on the warranty repairs but he did not get the approval from the headquarters.
