A dealer in Northern Virginia just ordered the bottom cushion for me... not sure if you want to drive that far though.

Barely 400 on miles and I can see the bubble starting. I never keep a wallet in my back pocket.

Tell me about it...
The other day I was showing my car to some of my buddies and they were laughing and said "wow did the dealer take molds of your butt for the seat!"
Pretty embarrassing to have a car this expensive with horrible looking seats.

I'm not even a heavy guy (170lb) and I don't keep my wallet in my pocket when I drive. The car doesn't even have 3000 miles on it yet.

If I try to get them to "fix" this under warranty will they just replace it with the same crappy cushion/leather that it came with? I don't want to have it sent in every 3 months to get a new seat.

I just turned 1,000 miles on my GxS and the bubbles are popping up on both "cheeks." I even conditioned the leather seats and door panels on the very first day. Sounds like a full bottom seat padding and leather replacement by Infiniti is not a true solution as many of you have said the problem reappears weeks later...because of this I may just put a bug in the manager's ear and ask him to keep an eye out for any REAL fix in the future, rather than just a band-aid solution. In the mean time, along the same comment that Namir's friends made, i.e. "Wow did the dealer take molds of your butt for the seat!", I will trick myself into thinking that this is a special feature of Infinitis' designers....to come up with custom fitting seat cushions for each of us!!!!

Here's a dumb question though....do any of you actually find the "custom dimples" to be comfortable? I mean, does sitting in a dimpled seat feel better than sitting on a flat one? Just curious.

Also, has anyone thought about taking the car to a leather repair shop that specializes in furniture repair and have them insert stronger/denser foam padding? Granted, this would be an out-of-pocket expense, but if the problem is a) impeding comfort and b) really that much of an eye sore, perhaps it's worth considering? In my opinion, this appears to be a foam cushion problem, not a leather problem. I've had my current Broyhill leather sofa and chair for six years now and the foam is very good/dense as there are no signs of dimpling (but the leather has a little wrinkling, which is natural).

FWIW, I'm 5'10, 170, never carry my wallet in the back pockets, and use Coach leather cleaner and moisturizer on all my cars. My 2005 G coupe exhibited some of the same dimpling problems (but not as bad), but my GS430 and M3 did not.

1036 miles on the car, just as bad as namir's a few posts up. This is so disappointing. Has anybody contacted a upholstery shop and got an estimate?

Both our G's have this. Mine just turned 1000 miles and its starting to form. Mrs Snoop's G < 1000 mi also has it and she's about a 100 lbs so it's not related to how big your a$$ is. BTW? she won't let me drive her car (i have no idea why ) so it's not from my butt! Honest!

My "old" G which I had for 9months before it RIP'd barely had it. I wonder if it has something to do with using the seat warmer. I actually didn't really use it on my first G but since we've had a "cold" winter in FLA i have been using this quite a bit lately... My wife is always cold so I can guarantee that she's been cranking the seat warmer all the way up lately, which could explain why her's seems worse than mine.

My G is two months old, less than 4k on the odo, and I have the bubbling already

I was aware of this issue before I even bought the car. I tried taking precautions, never had my wallet in my pocket, etc. I'm 6', 175 pnds.
