Yes, in order to make sure the bumper didn't scratch any of the paint on the fenders, etc. you need two people or....you can take a chance and do it yourself. I wasn't willing to take that risk. Also, the Service Manual recommends that two people.

Geez why did they make it sooo hard for our headlights to be removed...
This bumper stuff is the main reason I havent done it yet... otherwise I would have alread had me some baked headlight for dinner...

Good job but seems like overkill. I never had 2 people and never took off the whole bumper. Just use painters tape to avoid scratches and pull the the bumper back and take the lights out.

Yea its not too bad, you can remove it with one person, I just removed mine few days ago alone. Once you pull the sides out... you should be able to lift it out by yourself from the middle. UNV's DIY was very good!
When do you get your lights back from Lightwurkz? Just getting them painted? Or anything else?

i painted my headlights my self and i also used painters tape on the fenders. total price for my mod was less then $10 for paint and tape with about 4-5 hours of labor... it sounds overwhelming but its simple. trust me!!

I just got off the phone with Lightwurkz and I have to say again...I'm very impressed with the customer service and personal attention that I've received. After all the painting is done they are going to conduct several water tests to make sure there are no leaks and they warranty their work. That's very nice to know since the headlights are @ $800 each!
