Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
I haven't had a chance to get under my car as of yet. Been busy. But like the Z. Does the G37 have a carbon fiber driveshaft also?

I'll have to see or find out. Even though on the Z it is CF, it's going to look like it was painted black. Almost looks like fiberglass that's been painted. So I don't think you can really tell by looking alone, or I can't. We'll find out soon enough.

I was going to ask the same thing last week. I know that was one of the perks/selling points nissan advertised for the Z but I've heard nothing about the G's having them. It'd be nice tho

350z when it first came out it did have CF as one of the sell points. But I dont know if they got rid of it later.
there are companies out there specialize in CF shafts, it's relativelt cheap also. My friend had a Mach1 bought his for 450 shipped I think. It was pretty light.

What's the reason for the G37 having a two piece driveshaft? I know the wheel base is longer compared to the Z. But is that the only reason? It's not to much longer though.

G35 also has a two piece. The reason being there is a magic number (i think 56 inches) for a drive shaft before it becomes rotationally unstable. Meaning you'd have to make it heavier and thicker for a one piece to be perfectly stable. So a two piece is used to cut down on overall cost and weight presumably. A one piece CF replacement would be fine due to less of rotational weight.
