I have also noticed that I get different rattles from different areas of the car depending on what type of bumps(uneven road, small potholes, etc.) I hit.

I had a TSX and I can say for sure that it rattled and creaked waaay more than the G does. Of course the G only has 4k miles on it, but that TSX rattled and creaked from day one in the cold. It was still a great car though....

I don't have any rattles yet. Afraid to say that because I am afraid I am going to start to hear some.

Pleasing Wall Street is the No. 1 priority of all manufacturers nowadays, so needless to say, build quality is not what it should be IMO. My $60K+ Lexus SC430 had several rattles. And if you turn up the volume to quiet them down, a lot more showed up due to the woofers being inside the doors, just like the G37 with the Bose. I did the mistake of buying an '06 GTO to experience an American V8, but this thing rattles like a ****. This car looks nothing like a GM inside, but you can see GM's hand all over this Australian-built car; build quality SUCKS, so will never buy any other brand where a big 3 has a controlling interest (Volvo, Saab, Jaguar, etc).

Anyway, I HATE rattles with a passion, but I programmed my brain that they're a fact of life so I don't lose my sanity. But I've NEVER let a dealer try to find a fix, except when there's a TSB on it, like the rattling wood inserts on the SC430. I take it as a challenge to find them myself (or with the help of boards like this), and fix them. And yes, I tried that once, and after seeing the techs beat the crap out of my car to reproduce rattles, not to mention the stained and scratched leather from their feet, NEVER again. Good luck.

So far so good on the G, but I haven't driven it much. My BMW had a few really annoying rattles. One from the sunroof they tried to fix multiple times to no avail. My G35 Coupe had them too. I too hate rattles with a passion, but it seems like any mass produced car these days is prone to them. Sad.

i have one in my steering wheel column somewhere, someone mentioned it might behind the speedo but i think it's lower like right behind the steering wheel, um it sounds like styrofoam rubbing together kinda squeek, happens alot in the cold, and over bumps , took it to the dealership today. they have no idea until they take it all apart. which i didnt have time for so next time i guess.
