Crappiest floormats in automotive history

The G37 wins hands down. It's a relatively small thing, but our floormats suck badly. They are thin and flimsy. The trunk mat is nice and plush, but the interior mats suck. I was cleaning up the car yesterday and took out the driver side mat to shake off the loose dirt and vacuum it off. I shook it to shake loose the dirt and it tore! I'll post pics later. I haven't checked the manual, but I'd hope an item like that is covered by warranty. I couldnt believe it ripped just from me shaking it vigorously. My Maxima's mats are 12 years old and have been through dozens of cleanings and even the washer and dryer and are in near perfect shape.

I hear you. My thoughts exactly when I picked them off to shake although mine didn't tear. Some JDM mats look thicker and has wavy designes.

Nope, the ones that came with the car. They are thin, cheap looking, and not very pliable.

Thanks.

I was honestly just shaking them, I didn't pull or tear or anything. I'm 6'2" 250, not the Incredible Hulk!

If your 6'2 and 250 lbs, you are a big guy, but that s**ks that it happened. You figure they would be made better. I took mine out and put them in the trunk. Just threw the all weather mats in.

Agreed, they are extremely thin. The floor mats in my 1st gen Sedan were easily twice as thick as the ones in my 2nd gen Sedan. I have been using my OEM mats for close to 1.5 years now and they don't need to be replaced yet, but my heel is starting to partially wear through a little.
