DIY-6000K HID light bulb replacement...

I just completed with swapping oem HID light bulbs with 6000K color temp bulbs last night and wanted to share my experience. It was most difficult light bulb swap I ever had in my life but it was worth it. The total swap process took me about one and half hours since I had to remove the wheels and inner fender covers to get access to the HID housings. Anyways I took some pictures to share in below.

HID housing revealed:

HID bulb cover removed:

HID bulb socket removed from housing:

6000K and oem comparision:

Both bulbs replaced:

Good job looks much better, but a true DIY would show how to remove the fender lining.

Nice write up. I just did mine last weekend. Changed both the headlights and fogs. On the inner lining behind the wheels, I had to take off seven push pins. Also, when connecting the harness back to the headlights, be sure that it "locks" into place. I did mine without "locking" and the passenger headlight went out. I had to take off the wheels and redo both sides

I went with cheap ebay HID shown in below link,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6000K...spagenameZWDVW

The delivery was quick and the quality of the bulb seem to be pretty good.
