Front License Plate

I got a ticket for not having front license plate and need to get it signed off by a officer. What is the best way to put on the front license plate temporarily til I get it signed off? I was thinking about just taping or zip tie it. If tape was to be used, what kind of tape wouldn't damage the paint when taking off? I'm afraid if i zip tie it to the fender it will scratch the bottom part of the bumper. any suggestions?

i need to figure out something to do too.... or i'm going to be the next one to get a ticket. i'm thinking that maybe you can stick it in the lower part of the grille? in the black mesh part? I dont want to drill holes in my front bumper ... plus it looks bad w/ the front tag.

it won't fit in the grill. if u attach to the grill it probably will scratch the bottom part of the bumper where license plate sticks out. I did this method to my previous car E46 3 series, and there was scratch marks on it after awhile.

frickin hate CHPs!!! the guy was hella being **** about it too. So this is how I got the ticket. I got my car back in sept. and the plates came about month and half later to my parents house. I was busy for a month or so, so I couldn't go pick up the plates. Then, this one day as I exited the freeway to get home, this CHP turns on his lights and pulls me over. The reason was that I didn't have plates. (Freakin can't see you that this is a new car?!?!?! I know it was my fault for not putting the plates on immediately, but still, pulling over a car that is new and checking why I didn't have plates? ridiculous). I know it's only $10 for the fixing, but it's the hassle that I have to go through. My due date is coming up in getting it signed off. So there's my story on how I got the ticket.

Back to the topic, any suggestions?

People with G35s rig something up that uses the tow hook hole... You may look into using something like that.
