Question Oh Crap Handles

So can anyone tell me what I am suppose to do with the oh crap handle on the driver's side? Am I suppose to take a hard left turn and grab on while turning the steering wheel? Just curious as to what Infiniti might have been thinking while giving us this extra "feature."

Maybe to help some out of shape people get in or out of the car???
I think because of the right and left hand drive versions, it saves money to only produce one version with handles on both sides...

For me its a good thing to hold onto while relaxing at a traffic light. Its much better the the old card holder which didn't actually ever seem to 'hold' anything in.

Your first point is why it's there. As to the second, it would save money not to include the part.

If you have a G37 (not sure) go look at the headliner around the handle this thread refers to. If the handle was not included it would still have the recessed area for it, unless they made a right and left hand drive version of the headliner, that would raise production costs...
Understand?

I have a G37 and realize what you're saying. Still there is no need to include the handle if they wanted to save costs. Understand?

It's there for in case your car goes under water and you have to hold on to something while you get yourself out.

..or that sexy time thing someone mentioned.
