I have a question for blue bat:
My car is a lease..are there any effects to the paint? whats the process to peel it off? any recommendations? i painted the roof on my M3 black and NEVER had it crossed my mind that i could put an overlay on. great idea. My G is graphite and i think it would look great. lemme know.

From what I understand by talking to several people in the vinyl business, there should not be any affect on paint. The vinyl I use is a high performance 7 year rated vinyl, the highest grade for applications. UV protection is at its highest
. Important thing is to make sure all moisture underneath the vinyl is removed when applying.Price will be in the $70 range for the roof Overlay

does your overlay go over the moonroof as well? if not, wont it look odd if the roof is black, and the moonroof is less black? i'm pretty sure they come factory "dark", but not black...
my car just got it's tint work from the dealer, and they said they dont do the moonroof.

moon roof comes tinted from factory... if you painted your roof black would paint the sunroof too? either way you would notice the sun roof there. who cares?
