Stop the Moon POP. Silicone your gasket.

Do you want to stop that annoying pop that your moonroof makes when you go over a bump or uneven ground? Specifically, WEIRDLY ENOUGH, it seems to happen to almost everyone while pulling INTO THEIR DRIVERWAY. Only place I experienced it.

Get THIS: Pedro's Ice Wax Chain Lube.

This goes on liquid, but dries to a clean slippery wax.

1) Put this thin silicone/wax lubricant on a microfiber towel.
2) Gently clean your moonroof gasket/seal with (1) until it glows like new.
3) Wet the entire gasket using a new part of the towel and clean silicone/wax.
4) Close the moonroof and let it sit for a minute.

Be Happy.

You can get to it all easily by retracting and tilting the moonroof up.

If this doesn't help, your sunroof rails need to be lubed (with the same stuff), and the attachment bolts need to be torqued to spec. On a G37, I would take it to the dealer.

There's where you lost me. If the moonroof is retracted, won't it be inside the roof? Then, how do you tilt it up if it is inside the roof? Do you mean to tilt the moonroof up the inch or so from the back rather than open (retract) it into the roof? Just wondering. Thanks.

Maybe he means do it once with it tilted and once with it retracted. When exactly do you guys get this noise?
