it has 3 settings, on, charge, and off. so you choose when it charges.
you CAN leave this in your CLA and NOT have it charging.
Awesome, mine should be coming in today too (hopefully). What did you do with the lighter though? I've never used it (don't know how to either) and I don't want to store it somewhere that it could accidentally turn on and start a fire.

I'm guessing it's like any other automotive lighter, you push it in when it's in the power outlet, then it gets really hot... put it in your glovebox, it can't do anything there, unless cig lighter technology has changed significantly through the years...

Ah, ok thanks. Just checked the mailbox and got my light today as well.

Also, tampa, where's the off position? Mine only has on and charge. And yeah, the sucker is pretty bright.

it does not have an "off" position. it has 2 positions that it clicks in. while in between the 2 positions, that is "off"

I got mine today; it's quite nice. Then my wife informs me that she bought 3 LED mini flashlights for $10 from a guy that came into our business peddling them. They were really good ones too but they are powered by 3 AAA batteries so they aren't as cool even though they are much brighter.

i went to JT. by the way, there is an ebay seller who appears to sell the same thing for much less.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cigar...spagenameZWDVW

12.97 after shipping vs the 19.90 the savings wont make any of us rich, but percentage wise, it is a huge difference!

i showed mine from JT to my father, he loved it, and ordered it from ebay same night.
