dunno...i might give it another try...i've done most of my lighting mods already but couldn't get the HID bulbs to fit in the fogs....maximka was able to fit his HIDs into his fogs with no problems
btw, just changed out my piaa extreme in my city lights for VLEDs...and the LVEDs look much much better

I'm looking to swap out my fog and parking lights as well, but I'm mostly concerned with everyone mentioning how the bulbs don't seem to fit snugly or worrying about road vibration popping them out.
What bulbs will fit in securely for sure?

the bulbs look like they will fit securely, but the city light socket on the g37 has four prongs that stick out and keep the leds from seating properly. the stock citylight bulbs are rounded at the bottom and slide all the way in, where as the leds are a bit more squared off and butt up against the socket. if i was contemplating getting the dremel out and either grinding the prongs down or rounding out the bottom of the leds.

JUST FYI for everyone, Pep Boys is offering a 15 dollar rebate on the H1 Sylvania Silverstar Bulbs. So 37.99-15.00= 22.99. Rebate runs through January.
I had a hell of a time putting these suckers in though, and honestly noticed only minimal difference. I'm going to have to take my car into the dealer too, because I ended up bending the clip that holds the bulb in wrong. Now it will not hold the bulb in completely tight and if it were to be turned on it would bounce around like crazy. Hope they can do something to help me out. Really frustrates me how difficult they have made something that should be so easy to do like swap out bulbs. If a headlight bulb goes out you need to take your car to the dealer??? Gotten a little ridiculous.
I have no idea how to swap out the parking light, so I'll ask them to do those while they are at it.

But, aren't these headlight bulbs? If you replace the foglights with them, won't you end up with two sets of headlights?

The Silverstars are the same wattage (55w) as our factory bulb and honestly after I installed them I couldn't tell a difference between these and our factory ones.
Comparing them side by side with the stock bulb they are the exact same size/look everything. The silverstars have a more blue tint to the actual bulb being the only difference.

Lots of cars use H1 for headlight bulbs. Try almost every GM HID vehicle for starters. In fact, Sylvania even says on the box and on their web site the H1 is a headlight bulb. There are other H1 bulbs which say they are auxiliary bulbs.

total install time was about a half hour. the passenger side is the tougher side to do because of the windshield washer fill tube. the airboxes come out with 1 bolt and remove the box from the tube to get it completely out of the way. you will come away from the experience with scrapes on your knuckles and hands.
Could someone be a gentleman and take a photo of this elusive bolt.

The elusive bolt is hardly elusive. Just pop open your hood and look at your air intake box. The bolt/screw is to the right of the box on the drivers side and to the left on the passengers side.
