G37 back seat safety issue ?

Thats ridiculous. You might as well just trade your car in and go home and seal yourself in a bubble. An accident can happen at anytime, anywhere, any place. You can die tomorrow if it was destined for you. Not letting people ride in the back seat because of a prior accident to someone is ridiculous IMO.

My 5 year old sits in a Graco booster seat. He can easily climb in (we've had a class on keeping the dirty shoes off the leather!) and buckle himself. His favorite activity is watching the "car" move on the nav screen while listening to 'Life is a Highway.' No more "are we there yet" comments. Read the screen son, just read the screen.
My 5 month old daughter is indeed still in a rear facing seat which is less than optimal for the coupe. We have a Britax (not sure which model, I do know they have one out made for smaller cars meaning the base isn't quite so large) and in the rear facing position the front seat has to be positioned too far forward. I've tried the front facing position for when she turns 1 and that works great.
Although slow moving, the automated seats really help with getting the kids in and out. I can easily move the seat all the way forward and go back to the same position with the press of a button. No re-adjustments necessary.
With that said, I am glad my G is not a daily kid commuter. We have the family truckster for that. Picking up a kid from practice, school, etc or just going for a ride though has not been a problem for me.
