Huper Optik

I just got my tint job done at Tint King in Billerica, MA. They did a great job and also ventureshielded my headlights. Cost was 400 for the tint and 50 for the headlights. Sound like a good price, I know huper is very expensive but I don't know what others are paying. I saw an M3 done for 350 but I don't know if they were getting a deal or cause my car was so new they had to put in a little extra effort.

My dealer puts Huper on EVERY car they get, its not free either, its "rolled in" to the price, and I had to complain about it. (I really wanted it though, because Huper Optik is the best tint for the AZ heat.)
They list it as a 400$ option fyi.

I got the 3M colorware for $200...it was more b/c its non-metallic and won't interfere with any Nav or XM, etc. Guaranteed never to fade for life. 20% all around.

I hear Formula One Pinnacle series tint is very comparable to Huper Optik and is slightly less expensive. I also want to go with ceramic tint because it won't interfere w/ GPS and the better TSER rating (Total Solar Energy Rejected)....at least I think that was the acronym.

GPS and XM Radio is on top, theres no way to affect your reception, they told me it would affect my AM Radio though, and NOTHING has been affected

In most instances, you would be correct...this is due to the fact that most non-metallic tints have a tendency to change color. 3M Premium ColorStable film does not fall under this category. Its a special film that is non-metallic and is guaranteed not to fade for life. And yes, it does cost a good amount more than the normal metallic films that can interfere with XM and Nav.
