I'm doing it immediately upon picking up my car this weekend... It's a must. I had it on my G35 and will do it to all vehicles going forward.

I got it on my G35 the same week I bought the car.
After seeing what the front end of my '97 Maxima looked like after 8 1/2 years, I decided I didn't want the G to look the same way.

My 03 Maxima is pretty sahitty too I made sure this was the first mod on my new G. With a front end like that why would you want rock picks?

Why in the world wouldn't you clear bra it? I bought mine, then went to LA a week later and already gotten a couple chips on my fender. Get the clear bra as soon as you pick up your car.

1. about how much is it professionally installed

2. will there be a difference in the way the paint mature/fades/etc between under bra paint and rest of the car

PS
Ive had the car for about 1100 miles so far and I agree this may be a good idea esp since the paint on INF is so soft

Wink

I got quote $425 for bumper kit only, and still thinking about it. The total package is $695, see below:

http://www.ultimateshield.com for more info and pics!

Below are the available kits for your vehicle along with pricing. If there are any other areas that you are concerned about protecting but don't see, let us know and we can probable fabricate custom coverage. If you would like to pay with green cash I will also cover the sales tax.

Total cash price $ 695 installed. Includes standard Hood, fender, mirror, and full wrap bumper kits (upper and lower). Add$60 if you want the headlamp/ foglamp package .

We also offer window tinting from $225 with lifetime warrantee and offer a New Car Sealant Package (Polymer Paint sealant, fabric guard, and leather Sealant) for $295( dealerships charge a minimum of $4-500 for identical service). You may not be interested in that but I like to let all of our customers know as they appreciate dropping the car once and having everything done.

I used a Colgan Custom black vinyl bra on another car before the clear bras were available. I have the 3M material clear bra now on my G35. I'd say clear bra over vinyl any day. I've had mine on for almost a year now with no issues.

It may not protect as well as the thick vinyl/flannel against a golf ball sized rock, but it is better with the day to day "sand-blasting" you see more often and MUCH easier to maintain.

I've got mine done at Premier at Fremont, CA.
www.premiermobilegroup.com

They charged $775 + tax which came out to around $842. These guys are the absolute best in the business across the nation.
There will be most likely no differences in the paint. The clear bra does allow UV rays to penetrate it so your paint will look exactly like the rest of the car. You would wash and wax it as if the clear bra wasn't there.
It is barely noticeable. You can only see it if you look for it or if you examine it closely.

Also make sure you get it installed at a reputable place. Some places do really crappy jobs and leave air bubbles trapped inside and such.

At least now, I don't have to worry bout it anymore. I also got my bra done by premier. Absolute best I've ever seen. Talk to Sam. Straight shooter and been doin it for over 10 yrs.
