I'm 6'1" and 250 lbs. (I was 300+lbs. last year). Never sat in a sport seat yet but I'll let you guys know. Oh well, I'll be back in the gym tomorrow.

I've sat in the sport seats and find them tight as well. I'm 5'9" and about 205 and hate the thigh bolsters pushing in on my legs. If I purchase G37, it will have the standard seats which are not tight on the thighs at all, but provide great support. I can't tell you how dispappointed I was when I sat in the G37 for the first time and noted a similar problem with the sport seat that I had with the G35 coupe with the seat controls on the top of the seat. It kept me from purhasing a G35. It might be possible to purchase a non-sport G37 seat frame, cushion, and cover and bolt it to the rest of the sport seat. It won't be inexpensive, but it might be worth investigating. I always sit in a car seat for about 20 minutes or longer to make sure I like it before purchasing a car.

Skinny bastage. Americans are simply larger than average japanese. I am 6-1, 285 lbs and not overweight. I simply have muscles on top of my muscles, and especially my rear end, which women like to pinch because it is so rock hard.

The seats are too narrow, I have to force it wider with my butt muscles every time I sit in it. The seat is slowly conforming to my buttocks, however. My cheeks will not be denied their comfort.

Yeah, of course some of us (65%, according to some data I saw this week) are "overweight" and could stand to loose weight, which is all well and good. But, the bottom line is still what RedHerring said - the average Japanese male is smaller than the average American. The average male in Japan is 5'6" and 145 lbs. In America, it's probably about 5'10" and 185 lbs. The seats are the exact same ones as sold in the Japanese home market Skyline (their G37), I've seen them there myself. Carlos Ghosn (Nissan CEO) is known to be a major cheapskate ("cost cutter"), and the company just didn't spring for designing seats to fit American butts.
