I'd love to try a set of these out. My fogs act as day time running lights, so i guess these would be perfect

Sylvania Silverstar H1's. The worked out great!

I would think a true HID would be blinding. I get people flashing me from time to time with the Reg H1's.

All you did was pop in a new bulb and not install a HID kit, right? I'm thinking of doing this too. Also ordered some 5800K bulbs for the low beams last night.

Yeah all I did was pop in the bulb. Worked great. A great improvement over stock. Matches the stock HID bulb almost perfectly.

How much were the Silverstars?

edit: nevermind, did a quick google product search and they're $20 each.

I put in the silverstar H1's in my car and was unsatisfied. They are better than stock but still dont match the headlights. I am going to switch to some Piaa xtreme whites. Anyone of have those lights? If so, can you post some pictures? Thanks

What color temp are the Silverstars? The PIAA Xtreme Whites are 4000K if I remember right, which is still less than the 4300K stock headlights.

Silverstars are 4,000k as well. They are a blue tinted bulb though and appear whiter than the stocks. I know from first hand experience.

Can't the fogs only be on with the headlights? So how would they act as running lights?

In Canada we require running lights by law. My fogs are hooked up to the an ignition source via a relay. Don't ask why; in Canada we just go out of our way to make laws opposite to the states--our last government thought it made us feel special
