So being the impatient person I am I contacted the sales manager today and asked what is taking so long with my spoiler coming in.

Here is what I was told.

If you want an original factory spoiler it is going to take a while. I was told minimum of 3 months.

I was told that I could wait for the factory spoiler to arrive sometime in the future

OR

The dealership apparently has a contract with a third party company that installs a different spoiler on the car. This spoiler does not have the third brake light built into it therefore you keep the light in your back window.

I am opting for this spoiler as I do not want to wait 3 to 6 months for the factory spoiler and have a dead third brake light.

I do not know the name of the company that installs this spoiler (they do it at the dealership) but below are pics of it.

I'm not sure who's car this is but there it is....

 

hmmm...factory spoilers are prepainted and the dead brakelight can be taken care of with a speaker deck swap.

 

See, I thought the same thing but the sales manager (who probably didn't know any better) said it coudn't be done.

Either way I am just going to go with the dealers optional spoiler.

 

what you going to do with your chrome lip?

 

I was told that the optional spoiler covers the chrome lip. Although I will doublecheck to see if it can be removed before being installed.

If it can be removed (i am assuming you want to purchase) I'll find you.

the only way to get sport pak in Canada is with the spoiler but the more i see it the more i like the chrome lip. Not 100% either way though

 

Got an email from my dealership today that I was 67th on the list for the optional spoiler. More waiting....

Does anyone else know if their dealership has an optional spoiler setup?
