CITY LIGHT (parking light) BULB REPLACED! Matches HIDs pretty well. PICS INSIDE...

Was installing the Fujita dual intakes, so while i had the engine air filter out i decided to replace that annoying little yellow
parking light since i hated having the TWO tone light color btwn that light and the HIDs.
Used the same lights which i used for my license plate shown here in this post: https://www.myg37.com/forums/showpos...1&postcount=13

^^That is the driver side. Fog light plastic cover is removed, underneath is the city light, slightly pulled out.

As finagle mentioned to me in another thread.. getting to the passenger side city light is a ROYAL P.I.T.A !
What u can do to make it slightly easier is to remove the plastic clip holding the windshield washer fluid resvior in place at the top near the cap. This gives you more wiggle room to get to the light and turn it COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.

REPLACED:

Bulbs are same as shown here: https://www.myg37.com/forums/showpos...1&postcount=13

Not sure exactly... wedge style bulbs? These are used in the license plate lights, and interior map/dome lights, and marker light on the inside of the doors.

There was a discussion in another thread as to which type the bulb actually was.

These look like they produce more light output than LEDs. I'll get them before my car comes in and ask the dealer prep guys to replace them while they prep the car so I don't have to fool with it. How many total did you replace inside and outside? Where can yo get them online and what price?

Do they match the actual night time lights?

That is a 168 Bulb.

They also fit in the City Light socket on my 97 Maxima's aftermarket Cefiro headlights....

It was a pain in the *** but I also changed my bulb too with a PIAA extreme white 168. LOOKS WAY BETTER! While I was at it, i also dechromed my stock rear stock wing and painted it black..it now matches the car well.

I changed out mine too, I used Plolarg M4 hyperhwite 194s. Matches the HID pretty well. The passenger side took me 3 minutes. I am not sure if this was made clear but not only should you unclip the washer fluid container, the "neck" of the container snaps off the actual part that holds most of the fluid. Once you remove this, its very easy to get to the light.
