Actually, I have a road bike. I just got a Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL this past June. A carbon frame is such an upgrade over aluminum.
There is an old railroad line that was converted to a bike trail a few years back. It's 25 miles long and feeds into some beautiful country roads with what we consider "hills" in south LA.
A group of us ride with our sons on the weekends, usually about 50 - 60 miles. We just completed the MS Society's Tour for Cure 150 mile ride this past weekend. It's split over two days and was a blast.

I ended up getting a Santa Cruz Blur, the good thing is it matches my car
I have been riding local trails, 5 to 11 miles depending on the ride and I have such a great time. I'm ordering the bar as I type this, thanks for the help guys!

I didn't get to read the whole thread but I believe there is a recent thread floating around on this site with regards to trailer hitches. It also has a linky to a thread on the Driver site with great pics of a hitch set up on his G coupe.

I didnt find anything else through search for any kind of install options on MyG37.
I ordered the Curtis hitch and hope to have it soon so I can get my bike around and will post photos of my install.

I'm mobile now guys! Excellent idea with the curtis hitch, took about 45 min, chopped off the arm of the hitch, dropped the muffler, took off the licsence plate, drilled the 4 holes with an angled drill, used 1/2in x 4in. grade 8 bolts, bolted the hitch up, put the muffler back up and called it a day.

So, I'm considering a mountain bike and have been searching for transport options. Looks like this is the way to go.
So it is a Curtis hitch? Do you have a part number or recommendation on where to buy it?
Which bike rack is that?
Can I ask how much for the total set up?

I expected the hitch to look hideous on our Gs but after looking at your install I'm considering putting one on. I ride a Cannondale Synapse 3 and it is hassle to take off both wheels to fit the bike the rear seats everyday.

There is the hitch you need, you will need to remove that arm off to the right.
The bike rack I got is from a company called Hollywood, it was a floor model at sport chalet and I got it for $89.00 but any 1 1/4 inch rack will work.
All said and done around $200 but this is by far the best way to get your bike around as opposed to the roof rack or strapped up rear bike rack. This is more aerodynamic, does not damage your car and when the rack is off you have to lean down to see the receiver.
Make sure if you do it, you tighten up the bolt that holds the rack into the receiver really tight!!!

Blackjack, I fought this tooth and nail but it got to the point where I was riding really good trails with friends but could only go when they went. I have good ones near my house but breaking the bike down and putting it in the rear seat was not an option, that would tear the inside of my car to shreds.
I vacationed in Newport Coast recently, I brought my bike and was able to pack up my car! Good times!

Well, just wanted to resurrect this thread to thank "Infinite G37S" for all of the info. I mounted my hitch this weekend. I took a little different approach as I did not have an angle drill and didn't want to take the muffler entirely off. I did everything from the license plate side.
Made a cardboard template of the holes from the hitch mounting surface. Slid the template under the plastic licence plate bracket and center punched the bottom holes. Dremmeled notches out of the licence plate bracket to center punch and drill the top two holes. The license plate bracket is still very sturdy. Bolted the hitch on and was done.
If I had it to do over, I would have just bought new fasteners for the plastic license plate bracket and taken it off to do the job. The fasteners are permanent though, so I would have had to cut them off. Worked out fine though.
Anyway, now I just need to pick up a hitch mount rack and I'll be good to go. Thanks again "Infinite G37S"....your info was a huge help!

Sorry, just revisiting this myself. Funny thing, the day after you posted this I went to the hospital for a very easy fall on my MTB that resulted in a ruptured artery that had me in and out of the hospital for a month and took me off the bike for 2 months! Just got back on a few weeks ago. The rack is still working great, flexes a bit since its bolted to an aluminum bumper and its probably not a good idea to hook 3 MTB's up on the rack without a strap around the trunk for support but I've done it and its added a lot of utility to my car. Post some pictures if you get a chance jab23.
