Bat,
I asked my clear bra guy to do the headlights. He said that he would do them if I really want him to, but strongly recommended against it because the material will cause the heat buildup from the lights not to dissipate as it should. He said this will shorten the bulbs life by up to 40%. Considering the high price of the bulbs, he said it's better to take the chance of getting a rock chip to the lens than to go through bulbs twice as fast. I presume that your overlays are made of the same or similar material. Is this true?

yea that would be the main reason for overlays. I might just get my headlights painted, but if you can cover the orange then I can just use the overlays!!! Let me know if possible.
Also, can you put an over lay on the back off a G37 with no spoiler, to make that silver part off the trunk black or dark? Or maybe.. I can just paint that when I paint the grill.

Hey, since you're located in San Diego, would it be possible if I drove down there some time, buy both overlays, and you could help me install them? If not, how long does the install take? I'm new to this whole overlays thing, so I wouldn't want to mess up installing them.
I'm especially interested in the front ones especially since they'd block the amber. Looks nice!

had a very reputable tint shop try to install my over lays for my tails yesterday... said that with the way they were cut they would not be able to do it.. Of course this was after already ruining the vinyl.

I would be pi$$ed if a shop ruined the vinyl. I didnt even know what I was doing and I was able to complete the job. Its not perfect, but you cant tell unless you get real close.
I am very happy with the product and the result.

I did my tail lights and headlights myself. I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt. It just takes a lot of patience and a decent hair dryer.
