Delayed auto-on/off headlights availability?
#20
Personally I think auto on/off isn't a very useful feature. I want to decide when I want to turn them on or off. Today I was passing a series of underpasses and it was on/off on/off very annoying. But there is a feature in the menu's to set the sensitivity of the on/off headlights. I can't remember where it is though.

Mine has it. I was a little concerned, too, about the delayed availability notice. My previous G coupe had it, as well. I quite like the feature! What I don't like so much are those daytime running lights that were on my '01 Lexus IS300... couldn't turn them off! Couldn't be that stealthy with them when I needed to be.

Still I can fully sympathize about the aggravation you would feel if this were missing on your car because you are used to it. I've previously mentioned the little things I miss that have been on my Acuras for years:
1. auto-door locking;
2. side mirrors that tilt down when in reverse; and
3. cruise control main that stays on unless turned-off.
All these are things I have grown accustomed to over the past seven years, but certainly not deal-breakers on what I consider an incredible car.
Personally, I've never liked or used the auto-headlight feature. I never got into the habit of using it. Part of that stems from the sensitivity issues. Acura's system is plenty sensitive also to the point where the headlights came on everytime I started the car in my garage. I believe the life cycle of HID's is affected by how many times and for how long they are turned on, so I just have always done it manually.
To each his own.
