2013 G-37 Vert w/Nav

I think I'm going to try and connect to the AV unit to get into console mode. I'll have to find a free weekend, because I'll have to pull the dash apart. Before I do that, I'm hoping to get some help with the following questions:

1. Does anyone have a source for the pins for the 32-pin connector?
If my research is correct, the 32-pin connector is a Sumitomo TH32FW-NH (6098-5287), and the pins are either 8240-0367 or 8240-0369, depending on the wire size, but I can't find a source for these.
[EDIT - I believe the proper part number for the pins is 8240-0253, I was able to get some from AliExpress. I hope to try to connect soon.]

2. I plan to bring out the TX, RX, and B2 from that connector. What should I use for ground or common? Should I pick up a SHIELD connection on that 32-pin connector? or just use the case as ground?

Sorry for the delay in replying, somehow I missed this post until SupraofDoom posted below.

Anyways, I've been testing it in my G37 every time I drive it and the gauges are working very well!
I did a minor firmware update in Jan to use hardware timers for more consistent CAN frame message transmission.
No noticeable difference, but the code is cleaner.

Now that the warmer weather is here, I'll be doing local testing on 4-5 G37 to make sure it works on all the different versions.

Here are the "sys" commands to change the startup / splash screen:

Code:
Infiniti: sys 2 9 1 9 0
Nissan: sys 2 9 1 9 1
GTR: sys 2 9 1 9 2
Then type
Code:
pld 3
to copy the startup image from the drive to flash.
Have fun!

Yeah, found that. Now I'm looking for proper GT-R TPMS screen. Had little time on that, was focusing on building the car...

I got my connectors at the scrap yard, when I got the nav unit.

As for the grounds, I used the ground pins on the 32 pin connector. I suspect you can also use the case as a ground, just make sure to test for conductivity between your ground and the case.
Sometimes, there are multiple and independent grounds.

No idea, all I know is that I didn't need/use them.

Not including you, there was only one other person who was interested, so none were made.
However, the USB debug mode used to enable the G37 Tire pressure on the nav unit, gives the same console access.

No worries! I tried the USB route on a a later Maxima unit with no luck. I think the debug is the same physically, but my soldering skills aren’t the greatest. On the pictures of your board, there are 4 lines coming from the 32 pin connector. I got IT-PC, PC-IT, and the ground for TB2. What was the fourth wire? I can’t really tell from the picture.
