YAW bypass switch a.k.a Drift Switch
Hello everyone for those that don't know I wire things up in my spare time. The product I'm providing is a YAW sensor bypass/ Drift switch.
Z/Gs have a lateral gravity sensor called the YAW rate sensor. This particular sensor will interfere with the car's throttle during a heavy lateral Gs. Usually a heavy turn coming in fast, you'll see that even with VDC off the car will cut the throttle and the stability light will blink.
By doing some research you'll find that most people cut a wire to the sensor and place a switch inline to turn it on and off. Though this method works it involves cutting and drilling depending on the switch you choose.
I came up with a clean "plug and play" method which wont require any cutting nor drilling to install and can be easily removed if the owner wishes to re-sell the item or the car itself.
I created 2 types, one for the 370z and one for the G35/37 for both the 7at and 6mt.
For detail purposes I have to customize the switch for the G since my supplier only carries orange.
The differences in both are colors and placement of switch.
The Z uses the center console for switch placement
The G I went ahead and utilized one of the few blanks these cars offer and it's by the hood lever area.
Fully crimped harness covered in heatshrink as non invasive as possible.
LED on equals operational system.
LED off equals system disabled.
Just like the DIY bypass you'll have to cycle the key once you're done using the button.
Trying to make a plug and play electronic part budget friendly was a bit of a challenge but you dont have to do any permanent modifications to the vehicle by opting for this option.
The Z kit can be yours for $45 shipped in the US
The G will be at the same price ONLY FOR MYG37 members only. The G switch harness is 5 feet longer and includes a white LED ($55 normally) (Since most of you were the driving force behind this)
Anyways here are the pictures

Awesome job! Kudos to you for taking this on. If I have never removed my center console before, how hard is it? Also, if I am only ever achieving the computer take over (even w/VDC button on) during the winter while doing snow shenanigans, is it worth me getting the cut switch?

You start by the shifter ****, under radio plate removal, 2 phillip screws under, then shifter cover, then rear AC vent, two phillips there, then center console cig lighter and media plate removal.
Start pulling up on the console and disconnect anything that gets in your way.
I will try in the future for a video however my suggestion is to install the harness at the YAW sensor then lay out the wiring as nicely as possible towards your left foot.

Bull, would you sell the plug portion of the Bosch connector only? IE, the part that plugs into the OEM harness instead of the sensor itself? I've got a half-assed broken sensor used as the plug - would really feel more secure about it with a real plug.

Here's the latest batch.
Unfortunately/Fortunately I ran out of switches so the next batch will take a couple of weeks.
Top ones being for the 2010+ G37
Bottom ones being for 2008-2009 G or 370z
Please PM me to reserve them.
So far:
2.2 Lude - done
RObc7 - done
Beefychiken - done
Empir37 - pending
Projectpanda - pending
I'm awaiting payment for the 370z ones however if it doesnt go through I'll be using those switches to make more G37 kits.
I'll have some more in the future.

In all honesty, just having a switch there that lights up just brings me a smile.

Rochester, you can always get a heated wheel like I did
Joking aside, thanks BULL for your work putting these together and making them available... May still need your help with this cluster project (if I ever off my bum)...

I'd try to put the rear-sonar off or trunk release switch into the blank, so you could put the traction-control-off-no,OFF switch up with the others. Or ditch the oem traction control off switch.

After seeing how well it fits, I am not sure why anyone who buys this would even place in a new place. If it replaces the dumb trac-control and you went through the trouble of buying and installing this great switch, why would anyone need the OEM control in place anymore?
