09 g37x sedan freaked out last night electrical problems help please :(
My g37 sedan freaked out last night I parked it in my garage came out 20 minutes later my left headlight was on radiator fan was running and throttlebodies were whining like they were opening and closing repeatedly and I smelled burned plastic I disconnected my neg battery cable overnight
This has never happened before and I haven't done any electrical repairs I noticed there was water in my driverside relay box so I wiped it down hooked up my battery and relays and it stopped freaking out I blew some air into it with my compressor started my car (it cranked and cranked and cranked maybe about 20 times before it finally started) for now I'm keeping the battery unhooked. I'd hate to goto work park it for 8 hours and come back to a car in flames could the water in my relay box have shorted something ? I've owned 5 cars before this one and this has NEVER happened to me before usually I would know what's wrong but this is seriously perplexing me. I'm glad I caught it before something serious happened.

Probably have a water leak and it created a shot in the box. Step one is finding the water leak, next you need to inspect the box for any burns or corrosion and go from there.
