Apple Carplay on G37
Hello,
I was wondering what was the easiest way to get Apple Carplay in my G37? Would it be installing a Apple Carplay HeadUnit? I didn't want to remove the Nav system unless absolutely necessary.
Anyone have experience?

Also, there is a current 20% off sale at www.niftycity.shop/ if you are willing to take a chance on their recently opened company.

Are the Grom and the Aliexpress versions a case of rebranding the exact same hardware?
Also, are there any cheaper alternatives as 2021? I'm coming from a BMW where a similar box for CarPlay could be found on Aliexpress for ~$250, so I'm amazed that these are so much more expensive

How's the sound/audio quality when using this? Any different than stock?
Long-term reliability issues? Able to update future-forward software/OS/firmware updates/upgrades?

Would like to know about this as well. My stock system works perfectly fine, but I’d like to update it with Apple CarPlay if it’s a reasonable price.
The Nifty City one is ridiculously priced. Definitely not worth it for me. Not that it isn’t a quality piece, but just not for me.
Wondering if buying a decent $200-$300 unit from Amazon plus the required wiring to incorporate the factory Bose would be cheaper? Anyone with experience with this?

I'd recommend the Nifty City setup over anything else, honestly. Unless you want to do the whole chinese Tesla screen thing.
Yes, Nifty City package is expensive. But IMHO it is worth it. Because you can then get wired if not wireless CarPlay AND Android Auto. And retain the factory stock look. It's the best possible thing.

Most base model cars come with this option nowadays, just wanted to find a decent option to add it for this dated infotainment center.
