Exclamation After doing "Factory Cold Start" from hidden menu, Comfort & Conv. was removed

Hello everyone, newbie here.
I know that this is a G37 forum but the problem is with my G25.

I got the car from auctions and decided to do a "Factory Cold Start" from the hidden menu that activates using BACK + VOL ROTATION.
It went successfully but after the reset I went to settings and there was no "Comfort & Conv." option there.
I tried everything.
ACC, ON, ENGINE ON, the option still didn't come up.
I read another post in this forum, and you guys recommended him to go to the dealer so that the dealer adds the modules because after "Factory Cold Start" the device loads the Base OS, and Infiniti dealers add some other modules. But the problem is that in my country there is no Infiniti Dealer but Nissan Service which can't do this kind of things. Is there a way to return the "Comfort & Conv."?
I live in Armenia if it is needed.

Neutered by software!

There's a reason the diag options are hidden. My understanding is you will need access to the consult 3 software to re-enable and recalibrate the missing options. Where do you get that... Good question. One I don't have an answer to.

Folks, be careful. Know what you're doing or you're likely to brick your car

Thanks for the answer! Oh I see, I found Nissan Consult 3 V71, is it the right one? Also do I need any adapters like USB To CAR DIAGNOSTIC PORT or else?

I can already tell this is going to be a royal cluster screw up.

Dude, take your car to Nissan and have them reconfigure your AV system. Yes, they can do the job and it will be much cheaper than buying a CONSULT 3 interface which can run from $2500 for the OEM interface to the $500 cheap Chinese clone (which might work on a good day).

A cheap OBD "dongle" will not work when using CONSULT.

Maybe I misread, I thought there's no infiniti dealers in the country. I wasn't clear on the nissan part. Nissan won't touch the car?

And no, i have no idea what version of software you need. Chances are you also need a dongle or key of some sort to use it?

Are you sure Muran can't do this for you? They must have a Consult III, no? That still seems easier than trying to hack together the tool yourself.

Although I must admit, the idea of owning that real deal diagnostics tool is appealing... And if you did get one you'd immediately become the go-to Nissan / Infiniti repair guy in your country!

Is re-enabling this a matter of just toggling some boxes, or actual code has to be uploaded to the bcm/ecu? Does nissan consult-3 have the necessary configuration profiles for infiniti products? Hmmmm......

It's one thing to use the software as a diagnostic tool, another to actually use it to configure something.

CONSULT-3 can handle both Nissan and Infiniti. It is as simple as selecting a button on the laptop screen. In this case, it is just a matter of reconfiguring the hard drive inside the headunit. Takes 15min.

When it comes to actual flashing of the ECU/TCU, it gets tricky. For those cases, you not only need CONSULT, but you also need the separate NERS program (Nissan ECU Reprogramming Software) (≈$350-500), then you need to download the file you want to flash (≈$50-100+/-). However, depending on what you want to flash (and the software version) you might need a technician/dealership login credential to continue. These costs do not take into account the separate "Security/Immobilizer" PCMCIA card that NATS/IVIS requires which also ties into the above mentioned credentials.

In a nutshell, very costly. This is why used CONSULT units are at least $5k on eBay. In OP's case, it would be easier to either force Nissan to do the job or deal with issue. Getting the "software" is easy and I am sure there are workarounds, but to gain a lost AV setting? Sounds silly to me.

Just my 10¢.

More than one G owner has asked about electronics support from Nissan dealers in the U.S., all have been told by said dealers that they have no problem doing physical repairs on Infinitis but they won't touch electronics.
