XM Antenna
I just ordered a Terk replacement antenna for the XM as I can't handle the lousy reception anymore. I looked through the service manual but am confused where it plugs in. I have Bose w/nav. One pic shows it routed to the left side of trunk plugged into an amplifier. Another shows it routed to the right side of trunk plugging into a Sat radio tuner.
Anyone know the layout? Anyone ever done what I am attempting to do? My goal is to run the device to the rear deck. Any advice would be welcome.

If you have Bose w/ NAV, the XM Satellite Antenna connects to the back of your AV headunit in the center dashboard:
Only models without NAV have a XM tuner in the trunk area.
There might be a joint connector in the trunk from your original antenna that you might be able to connect to rather than disassemble your center stack to gain access to the headunit.
Hope this helps...

The easiest, and most effective solution, would be to plug the antenna directly to the headunit in the dash, OR find the wire coming from your original antenna and cut/splice to that cable (only 2 wires: 1 signal, 1 shield).

The M380/M382 connectors are the joint connections I referred to earlier- think of them as "extension cords." You should be able to tap into them with no issue- simple cut-and splice. Finding a connector to fit will be virtually impossible (and expensive).
And, yes, the SAT antenna wire runs from the roof to the headunit on NAV-equipped cars.

Update:
I was successful in installing the Terk XM. If you have the nav & bose system, this is the best way as there is no unit in the trunk. You have to remove the seat & the panel above the seat (see picture 1) to access the connectors. The connector with the brown plug is where you tap in. Have to splice, then run the puck to the back next to the 3rd light. Results? Not one dropout for 7 miles on a road I could never get a clear signal. If you are on the fence with this upgrade, just do it! If you aren't comfortable with this I would print out the PDF blowup from a prior attachment & bring it to a shop. One hour job.
Remove that panel above seat
Tap in to brown plastic one

Thanks for the prompt reply... Yes, I did see your PDF schematic. I ordered the TerkXmicro antenna from eBay.
As soon as I receive it I will take it to my car stereo place to have it installed.
I'll let you know how it went.
Thanks again!!

Update...everything works GREAT! Just like your pictures, my car audio guy went behind the rear seat, spliced the antenna to the brown connector...Voila! I now have a strong XM signal.
Been using it now for 3 days with no signal interruptions.
THANKS for the great info...Have a wonderful New Year!
