Tesla Style Screen Thread

I believe you should be able to run it - it’s available through Google Play. I would actually give the Race Chrono guys a call and find out from them if the system specs would support it.

So you can basically download any ap to that screen that is available in the Play store? If that is the case, then I should be able to use both aps. Can you have 2 aps open at once with this screen? I could also run the Race Chrono ap in the background if I needed to.

I finally pulled the trigger on this. My buddy and I both ordered one at the same time and I'll be doing both installs. His is a 2011 G37 sedan base model and mine is a 2012 G37xs sedan. They had me take pictures of both dashes and send them by email. I ordered both through Phoenix. Is the wait time any better these days?

Looks like I’m trading the G in.
Well, bummer. Looks like I’m trading my G in and the dealer isn’t interested in the Tesla screen. I’ll be pulling it and the Apple CapPlay dongle out if anyone’s interested. I’ve never tried to sell anything here, so not sure if I can post it.

So at the moment I am installing one of these screens in my 2012 g37xs sedan with Bose, with navigation, with backup camera.
I have followed the instructions included, as well as the Phoenix installation YouTube video. I got the radio to power on, music to play through it and the steering wheel controls to connect. I have several problems though and they may be my own fault but I'm just not sure what to do next.
1. My car won't start
2. All the exterior lights turn on including my backup lights and brake lights when I press start with foot on the brake
3. My engine cooling fan turns on and stays on high
4. Manual climate controls do not function.
4. I cannot shut power to the car off by pushing my engine start button again. I have to disconnect the battery.
Any suggestions? I have sent an email to Phoenix Radios just now but figured I'd try asking here too.

Honestly, and without being able to see your connections, I’d unplug it all and start from the beginning. When you did the install, did you plug the Phoenix harness in to the radio first? If not, I’d start there and use their picture to make
sure the radio is plugged in correctly.
Based on what you’re describing, it sounds like one of the factory harnesses may be hooked up wrong.
If you can’t figure it out, take some pics of the way you have it connected and post them up.
