Need help 2009 non-Nav to 2013 Nav
#47
One quick question. The post about the mic pins 1 , 2 and 3 that need to connect to the mic in the headliner. Is that for talking to a caller? I got the new AC panel and just about everything operates, Nav, radio and heat/ AC controls. I linked my cell via wifi and it's synced. I called my daughter thru the pad on the car. my daughter answered and heard her really clear. She could not hear me. So is this what the headliner mic is for? I wanted to make sure before I go searching.

Personally, I wouldn't drop the headliner- too much headache and hassle. Even if you removed just the map light assembly you would still have to run wires down to the headunit. If you do not want to fiddle with the harness in the trunk, you could try to access the harness in the passenger "A" pillar where it transitions to the floorboard harness and run some wires behind the dash.
In the end, the trunk harness seems the easiest route, but whatever it takes for you to be able to access those three wires and run them to the AV headunit should have you good to go.

Ok, going the Satellite in trunk route. I've been looking at the paths. question the Pins on the Sat. Unit #1 sound Signal LH -
#2 sound signal LH +
#4 Sound Signal RH +
Will that mean I'll be using speakers rather than my overhead MIC? The pics are my planned path and really not going into the trunk???? Just grab the wires at the 22,23,24 pins on the 2009 terminal and connecting to pins 71,72.87 on 2013 HU.

The XM SAT tuner has nothing to do with the MIC wires. Basically you have to bypass the TEL module and wire the MIC directly to the headunit using the existing harness. Based on notes from my swap:
At the TEL module in the trunk: MIC (signal): wires 7 (black) and 10 (green) get spliced together;
MIC (+): wires 9 (yellow) and 29 (white) get spliced together; and
MIC (-): wire 8 (red) is grounded.
At the headunit: 2008 pin 80 to 2015 pin 72, 2008 pin 79 to 2015 pin 87, and 2008 pin 81 to 2015 pin 71.
Keep in mind that my notes reference my car (2008) and the donor I installed (2015). Your values should be the same, however, I would double check everything first.

I have my phone working but lost my touch screen. screen works fine with control panel but not touch. lost my reverse signal ( not too worried about this one, should be easy) . I don't have my camera hooked up yet but the parameter image was coming on.
Took of these on 2009 harness to hook up phone from trunk
Ground Signal VCC #47 this wire was on #72 ( 2013) hooked up #72 to Tel Adapter from Trunk to #80 (2009) Tel Signal
Tel Signal # 80 this was on # 87 ( 2013) Hooked up # 87 Tel Signal From Trunk to 79 ( 2009 ) Tel Signal --
Tel Signal #79 this was on # 71 ( 2013) hooked up # 71 to # 81 ( 2013) Neg.
I'm wondering if when I pushed in the head unit I cut the two Reverse wires # 81 on (2013) and # 105 ( 2009)
Touch screen I'm lost on that one. #47 Ground signal VCC is the only wire not being used at this point

Honestly it sounds like you may have some wires crossed and/or too many wires in the mix. 2013 pin #47 does not come into play at all.
You should only have one reverse signal wire: 2013 pin 81.
Your TEL module, and the XM SAT module for that matter, should not be connected at all as these are incorporated into the 2013 headunit. Did you get the MIC working?
Touchscreen should be the GVIF cable. It is possible a wire could have been cut- I would make sure all connections are good and secure.

Yes, mic is working fine. That's my guess, think I may have cut one while sliding the unit in. I'll pull it out again after work tomorrow. let you know. Thanks again

I had taken a break. I have the guide lines when I put it in reverse. I ran a wire up to the #8 white wire to display unit and black ground from the camera and the camera isn't displaying. I had read in another site that there is a plug in the trunk that is there whether there is a camera or not. Is that true?

These tiny wires can be a royal pain in the bum. I am building a harness for my new project and they are anything but cooperative.
My car did not have the extra connector for the camera. Display pin #8 is for the image signal, NOT camera power. I ran one wire (CAM SIGNAL) from the camera to the display (#8) and tapped into the REVERSE lights in the trunk for camera power and ground.
