I have to admit that I thought this suggestion was a joke but, since it was easier than replacing the button, I tried it — and it worked! I wish I knew why, but I’m definitely grateful for the help. Thank you!

I have the same issue lol. Sorry that the thread is old. But I entered the car while running and pressed the drivers side outside button. There is a series of beeps. But still not unlocking / locking. I tried the passenger door. And that works still. Does the beeping indicate something? Or would you suggest a new handle assembly
