Bad idea. I'd rather keep the functionality of my cup holders than have a device with a 9" screen that I'm never going to look at except to change music.

Just use Bluetooth and you won't have to deal with an USB incompatibilities.

By "journey package" I'm assuming you mean non-navi package. I currently use my phone 7 plus with my "non-navi" radio it works perfectly fine with no compatibility issues at all.
